1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of takingcare.co.uk (the "Platform"), operated by Taking Care Ltd. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. What Taking Care does
Taking Care is a marketplace that connects landlords wishing to sell tenanted residential properties with potential buyers. We do not act as an estate agent, solicitor, financial adviser, or party to any property transaction. We provide the platform and tools to facilitate introductions only.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be 18 or over to create an account. One person or entity per account. You may not use the Platform for illegal purposes.
4. Listing a property
By listing a property, you confirm that: you are the legal owner or have authority to sell; the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge; you have complied with your legal obligations as a landlord including any required tenant notifications. Taking Care reserves the right to remove listings that breach these terms or contain misleading information.
5. No legal or financial advice
Nothing on this Platform constitutes legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. Yields shown are gross estimates only. You should instruct a solicitor experienced in tenanted property sales and take independent financial advice before entering any transaction.
6. Enquiries and transactions
Enquiries submitted through the Platform put buyers and sellers in direct contact. Taking Care is not a party to any resulting transaction and accepts no liability for transactions that do or do not complete. All due diligence remains the responsibility of the parties.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not: post false, misleading or fraudulent listings; use the Platform to harass or harm other users; attempt to circumvent Platform security; use automated tools to scrape data; use another person's account.
8. Intellectual property
The Taking Care name, logo, and website content are the property of Taking Care Ltd. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant Taking Care a licence to display it on the Platform.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taking Care Ltd shall not be liable for: any loss arising from a property transaction; inaccuracies in listings; loss of data; or indirect, consequential or economic losses. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@takingcare.co.uk.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
